Booking & Service Policies

Thank you for choosing Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services. These policies are intended to clearly explain our booking process, service expectations, cleaning scope, quality assurance procedures, cancellations, access requirements, and payment terms.

By requesting and confirming a cleaning service with Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services, the client acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to review these policies and agrees to the terms applicable to the requested service.

1. Booking & Appointment Confirmation

A booking request is not considered confirmed until Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services has confirmed the appointment date and time.

The service price is based on the information provided by the client and the agreed scope of work. If the actual condition, size, accessibility, or requirements of the property differ materially from the information provided at booking, the service scope and/or price may need to be adjusted with the client’s agreement before additional work is performed.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about the property, including the type of cleaning requested, approximate size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, condition of the property, carpets, stairs, pets, special requests, and any circumstances that may affect the service.

2. Client Preparation & Access

The property should be reasonably prepared for cleaning before the team arrives.

Personal belongings, documents, valuables, medications, fragile items, and other items the client does not want handled should be secured or removed from the areas being cleaned.

The client is responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property at the scheduled appointment time.

If the team cannot access the property at the scheduled time, or if access is significantly delayed, additional charges may apply.

The client should inform Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services in advance of any known hazards, construction areas, unsafe conditions, damaged surfaces, loose fixtures, or other conditions that may affect the safety of the cleaners or the service.

3. Cleaning Scope & Existing Conditions

Cleaning services are intended to improve the cleanliness and appearance of the property. Cleaning is not restoration, repair, repainting, refinishing, or correction of pre-existing damage.

Existing stains, discoloration, scratches, scuffing, paint damage, worn surfaces, permanent marks, damaged caulking or silicone, mineral deposits, embedded dirt, or other conditions may remain after cleaning when they cannot be safely removed using appropriate cleaning methods.

Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services will not use methods that could reasonably damage paint, flooring, fixtures, furniture, finishes, or other surfaces merely to attempt to remove a permanent or difficult condition.

Heavy furniture or items that could create a risk of injury or property damage will not be moved unless this has been specifically discussed and agreed upon in advance.

Areas that are inaccessible because of heavy furniture, personal belongings, locked spaces, fragile items, or other obstacles may not be fully cleaned.

4. Deep Cleaning

A deep cleaning provides additional attention to areas that normally receive less frequent cleaning.

A deep cleaning does not guarantee that every existing stain, mark, discoloration, scratch, buildup, or damaged surface will be removed.

The final result depends on the condition and age of the surfaces, the materials involved, previous maintenance, accessibility, and whether a condition can be safely treated using appropriate cleaning methods.

Deep cleaning does not include repairs, restoration, painting, replacement of damaged materials, or restoration of surfaces to a like-new condition.

5. Service Documentation & Quality Assurance

For quality assurance, service documentation, and to help resolve any questions regarding the condition of a property or the work performed, Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services may take limited photographs or short video recordings of areas relevant to the cleaning service.

Documentation may be taken before, during, or after the service when reasonably necessary to:

  • document the condition of serviced areas;

  • document completed work;

  • document pre-existing stains, damage, wear, or other conditions;

  • document areas requiring special attention;

  • assist with quality control;

  • review and resolve service-related concerns.

Documentation will be limited to areas and information reasonably relevant to the cleaning service.

Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services does not intentionally record people, private conversations, documents, identification, financial information, computer screens, phone screens, passwords, or other unrelated personal information.

Audio recording is not intentionally used as part of routine cleaning documentation.

Clients should secure sensitive documents, personal information, valuables, and other private items before the cleaning team arrives.

Service documentation is kept securely with access limited to authorized individuals and is retained only for as long as reasonably required for business, quality assurance, dispute resolution, insurance, or legal purposes. Information will be securely deleted or otherwise disposed of when it is no longer reasonably required.

6. Service Completion & 24-Hour Inspection Period

Clients are expected to inspect the completed cleaning as soon as reasonably possible after the service.

Routine cleaning-quality concerns must be reported to Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services within 24 hours of service completion.

Routine cleaning-quality concerns may include areas that appear to have been missed, visible dust or debris, or surfaces that reasonably require additional attention within the agreed scope of cleaning.

The 24-hour inspection period is intended to give both the client and Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services a reasonable opportunity to identify, review, and address service-related concerns while the condition of the property is still reasonably connected to the completed service.

Concerns reported after the 24-hour inspection period may not qualify for a complimentary return visit, adjustment, or other service remedy, particularly where the condition could reasonably have been identified during the inspection period or may have changed after the cleaning.

Conditions that arise or change after the cleaning due to normal use of the property, children, pets, spills, food, new stains, marks, damage, moving items, construction, or other activity after the service are not considered cleaning deficiencies.

This inspection period applies to routine service-quality concerns and does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Alberta law.

7. Service Concerns & Resolution

If a client has a concern regarding the completed service, the client should contact Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services promptly and provide a clear description of the concern and, where helpful, photographs.

When reviewing a concern, Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services may consider:

  • the agreed scope of service;

  • the condition of the property before service;

  • the condition of the property at the time of service;

  • the work performed;

  • cleaner notes;

  • service photographs or video documentation;

  • accessibility of the area;

  • whether the condition may have existed before the service; and

  • whether the condition could have changed after the service.

Where a service-related deficiency is identified, Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services may, depending on the circumstances, offer an appropriate resolution such as additional attention to the affected area or another reasonable service adjustment.

A reported concern does not automatically constitute a failure of service or automatically entitle the client to a refund or discount.

8. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a $75 cancellation fee + GST.

Same-day cancellations, failure to provide access, or circumstances where the cleaning team arrives and cannot reasonably begin the scheduled service may be subject to a $150 fee + GST.

Move-out, move-in, post-renovation, or other time-sensitive appointments may have additional cancellation or rescheduling requirements due to the nature of the service.

Any applicable deposit or cancellation charge will be communicated to the client according to the circumstances of the booking.

9. Payment

Payment may be made by the payment methods offered by Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services, including:

  • E-transfer

  • Credit card

  • Cash

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of the service.

Invoices and payment reminders may be sent electronically.

10. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • providing accurate information when requesting a service;

  • providing safe access to the property;

  • securing valuables and sensitive personal information;

  • informing Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services of known hazards or fragile surfaces;

  • ensuring that pets are safely secured when necessary;

  • allowing the cleaning team reasonable access to the areas included in the service; and

  • promptly reviewing the completed service and reporting routine concerns within the applicable inspection period.

  •

11. Agreement to Policies

By submitting a booking request through our website or otherwise confirming a service after receiving these policies, the client acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review the applicable Booking & Service Policies.

For online bookings, the client’s electronic acknowledgment or required agreement checkbox will be recorded with the booking request.

For bookings made through email, Facebook, Messenger, text message, telephone, or other communication channels, Blue Gloves Elite Cleaning Services may request written confirmation that the client has reviewed and agrees to the applicable policies before the appointment is confirmed.

These policies may be updated from time to time. The policies applicable to a confirmed booking are the policies provided to the client at the time of confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
